More Than 160 Years in the Making

A Legacy Rooted in the Land

Glen Ivy Hot Springs has drawn visitors to its natural mineral waters in Corona, California since 1860, first for their healing properties, and later for the sense of renewal that keeps guests returning today. What began as a natural gathering place has grown into Southern California's premier hot springs spa, while staying true to the same land and waters that started it all.

the First Country Inn

A Soak for a Quarter

By the 1870's the first country inn took shape in a simple adobe building, welcoming visitors to the healing mineral waters. For just 25 cents, guests could enjoy a swim — complete with a bathing suit and towel.

A Resort Takes Shape

From Country Inn to California Escape

When Frank and Mabel Johnson purchased Glen Ivy, they began transforming the property into the resort they envisioned. By 1922, the original adobe building had expanded into a true hotel, followed by a new concrete bathhouse is 1927. As Glen Ivy's reputation for healing waters and warm hospitality grew, the rise of the automobile brought the retreat within easier reach of Los Angeles — helping turn the Johnsons' dream into a beloved Southern California destination.

A New Vision for Glen Ivy

Expanding the Experience

In 1977, The Emissaries of Divine Light acquired Glen Ivy Hot Springs and began a new chapter of investment and growth. Over the decades that followed, the resort expanded its amenities and introduced experiences that would become part of the Glen Ivy Tradition — from the Lounge Pool in 1984 to the Bath House is 1999 and Roman Baths in 2001. In 2002, the iconic Grotto and Club Mud were introduced, followed by continued expansion in 2006 with new gathering spaces, cafés, terraces, and private cabanas.
